Programme terms

Working draft. The rules below are the ones the programme actually runs on, but the document is awaiting review by a lawyer before it binds anyone.

What the partner gets

A personal tracking link and a personal promo code. A commission on every order completed by a customer they brought, under the terms recorded in their profile.

What Affiliates Hub is

A platform the brand rents in order to run its affiliate programme: it tracks clicks, ties orders to partners, calculates commissions and shows each side what is due to them. The brand pays us a flat usage fee; partner commissions it pays itself, directly.

How the commission is calculated

The base is the order value excluding VAT and excluding shipping, reduced by any discounts used. VAT is a collected tax, not the brand’s revenue; shipping is a cost.

The commission is accrued when the order is placed and becomes payable once the return window closes. Returned or refused goods cancel the commission. If the return arrives after payout, the amount is deducted from the next payment.

Who pays

The brand pays, not the platform. Affiliates Hub keeps the record — who brought what, how much is owed and when it became payable — but the money moves from the brand’s account to the partner’s account. No third-party funds pass through us and we are not a payment intermediary.

What this means for the partner in practice: the commission agreement is with the brand. In a dispute over an amount, the platform shows what was recorded and when, but the parties to the payment are the two of them — the brand and the partner.

Payout

Monthly, once the threshold is met, by bank transfer. A partner operating as a company or as a self-employed person issues an invoice to the brand. For a private individual, the rules for non-employment income apply.

What is not allowed

  • Paid advertising on the brand name and close variants of it
  • Orders placed by the partner themselves or by related parties
  • Coupon and cashback sites without explicit prior approval
  • Attaching tracking parameters artificially, without a genuine referral
  • Traffic bought from third parties on a pay-per-click basis
  • Unsolicited messages and sending to lists that are not yours
  • Product claims the brand has not made

Disclosure of advertising

Affiliate content must be marked clearly as advertising. This is a legal requirement and the liability rebounds onto the brand as well, so we treat it as grounds for termination rather than as a recommendation.

Sanctions

On a breach, the commission is withdrawn and access may be suspended. For serious or repeated cases, termination follows and, where warranted, legal action.

Data

The partner receives sales data, not buyer data. Customer names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses never leave the shop. A partner who does receive protected data signs a separate data processing agreement.
